Community health services are available to everyone. South Gippsland Hospital’s Community Health Centre is part of South Gippsland Hospital and our community services aim to keep you living at home and in your community as independently as possible. Our programs and clinics will help you develop a more healthy lifestyle and prevent or manage illness.
First we find out the things that are important to you and what you want to achieve. Then together we help put in place the right solutions with you. We work with you to help you do as much as you can for yourself to help maintain your independence. We want you to be at the centre of every decision.
We offer affordable health care. Some fees are charged according to your ability to pay but these can be negotiated or waived if payment is difficult. Health Care Card holders are charged a heavily discounted fee.
The CHC provides a broad range of services and health promotion activities to help local residents develop healthy lifestyles and prevent and manage illness. The centre provides access to numerous health practitioners such as nurses, counsellors, diabetes educator, physiotherapist, podiatrist and dietician and specialised clinics.
