South Gippsland Hospital is inviting members of the community to have their say about patient care and safety by becoming a Consumer Representative on one of their committees (closing June 27). We are looking for people who can represent the views, needs and ideas of those using our services. It will also be an opportunity for you to learn more about how your local hospital works behind the scenes and you don’t have to have medical training to contribute. It’s all about your knowledge and experience as a consumer whether it’s as a patient, program participant, family member or carer that’s important to us. Consumer Representatives are appointed to the Clinical Governance & Quality Committee for a two to three year period and need to attend four, 1-2 hour meetings a year. .
